Craigellachie 13 Year Old

A range of Craigellachie single malts was released for the first time in 2014. The distillery is known for its meaty character, and the 13-year-old is sweet, spicy and slightly smoky. Nose: Apple orchards in bloom, slightly meaty, burnt popcorn, treacle tart.

Palate: Oily malt arrives first, followed by BBQ pineapple and summer berries.

Pine nuts and almonds. Finish: A very soft hint of sulphur hides behind biscuit and apple notes.
