Pickering’s 1947
£29.50
This edition of Pickering's is made precisely to their original recipe, as it was written down in Mount Mary, Bombay, in 1947. Here the botanical mix includes cinnamon, which adds a decidedly warming and spicy kick to the spirit. Est. – March 2014 Location – Edinurgh Owner – Marcus Pickering and Matthew Gammell Known Botanicals – Juniper, coriander, cardamom, fennel, anise, lemon, lime, cloves and cinnamon (in place of the angelica used in regular Pickering's). (9) Serving Suggestions – Ice, naturally light tonic, wedge of orange. For a more warming drink use ginger ale instead of tonic, with a wedge of lime. Tasting Notes – Spicier, sweeter and more intense, it’s a decadent trip back to the last days of the Raj. Cardamom, coriander, clove and cinnamon spice lead to a crisp, refreshing and long finish.
